1. Who we are
Anegada Boat Tours runs private, locally guided boat tours from Setting Point, Anegada, British Virgin Islands. Anegada Boat Tours is a trading name of Tommy Gaunt Kitesurfing BVI LTD. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Tommy Gaunt Kitesurfing BVI LTD, trading as Anegada Boat Tours. This policy explains what we do with personal information when you use our website, book a tour or get in touch.
2. What we collect
When you book or contact us, we collect the details you give us, such as:
- your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number;
- the tour, date, time and group size you’d like, and where you’re staying or the name of your boat;
- anything you tell us in a message, such as a booking reference or something we should know about your group;
- if you complete our Cancellation Policy Form to secure your booking, the card details it asks for.
Card details from the Cancellation Policy Form are used only to charge a cancellation or no-show fee, as set out in our Booking & Cancellation Terms. If you pay by card on the day, the payment is processed by our card payment provider.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited — to keep the site running and secure.
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- answer your questions and confirm, arrange and run your trip;
- contact you about your booking — for example, if the weather changes our plans;
- keep the records we need for our accounts and to meet our legal obligations;
- keep our website working and secure.
We won’t send you marketing messages unless you’ve asked us to.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the people and services that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- our website host (Vercel), and the service that delivers contact-form messages to our inbox;
- our booking system (Bookeo), and Google, which hosts our Cancellation Policy Form;
- our card payment provider, when you pay by card;
- WhatsApp or your email provider, when you choose to message us that way.
We’ll also share information if the law requires us to. We never sell your information.
Some of these providers store data outside the British Virgin Islands. Where they do, we use providers who protect it properly.
5. Cookies
Our website doesn’t use cookies for advertising or tracking, and it doesn’t follow you across other websites.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are most useful. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you.
While you’re on the site, your browser keeps a couple of small settings for that visit only, such as whether you’ve already seen the opening animation. They aren’t cookies, aren’t shared with anyone, and are cleared when you close the tab.
Links to other services — such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Google Maps — take you to their own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons above — for example, to look after your booking — and for any longer period the law requires for tax and accounting records. After that we delete it.
Card details from the Cancellation Policy Form are kept only until your trip has taken place and any fee due has been settled.
7. Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that’s wrong;
- delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal reasons.
